If you spend every work day at your desk space, it only makes sense to add a little bit of your style to it, right? Luckily there’s a lot of art and creativity buzzing around my office at any given moment, so it’s pretty easy to get inspired. Even though we all work together to achieve a cohesive aesthetic in our magazines, each editor, designer, and photographer has put their personal touch on their workspace whether it be a memorable quote, a group photo, a favorite cover, or an inside joke. I try to keep my desk space as light and airy as I can while mixing in colorful details like my floral banner and my candle in a chinoiserie-style French blue jar (score from T.J. Maxx!). My bulletin board acts as a place to hold useful production calendars and little notes from the day as well a mood board of images that are inspiring me.
Spotted in the winter 2015 issue of Jewelry Affaire: my ear! Ear cuff by artist Donna Miyasako-Blanco.
Sorting through (trying on) blingy rings that look pretty rad styled together. These were designed by Cara Stimmel.
One of my favorite photos taken by our director of photography, Johanna Love, for Haute Handbags. Lisa Zinza created this swingy bag. So there you have it! How do you strike that balance between organization and inspiration when it comes to your workspace decor?
